A gold standard and "chill tip" technology by LightSheer Diode Laser System used for Permanent Hair Reduction for all skin types and for men and women of all ages.
The LightSheer Diode laser is a state of the art system specifically designed to remove unwanted hair faster, with less discomfort and more reliably than any other method - and it permanently reduces your unwanted hair. It does not harm the top layer of the skin and no visible damage to the outer layers of skin.
How It Works
A laser produces a beam of highly concentrated light which is well absorbed by the pigment (melanin) in the hair follicles and the energy is converted to heat, resulting in killing the hair follicles and slowly permanent hair reduction in the treated areas.
There are three stages of hair growth. The active (anagen) stage is when hair has an abundance of melanin. This is when the hair follicles are susceptible to laser light. The second stage is a transitional catagen phase, when the hair has less melanin and the lower part of the hair has stopped growing and is preparing to shed.
The third stage is the resting (telegen) phase, where hair falls out in preparation for new growth. At each treatment the laser affects approximately twenty percent of a person's hair in a given area. Each time the patient is treated, less hair growth will be experienced. Consequently multiple treatments scheduled several weeks or months apart are typically required to achieve optimum results.
- LightSheer diode laser effectively treats virtually all hair colors and hair textures, from blonde to black, and coarse to fine.
- It removes hair from all skin types (Fitzpatrick Skin Types I-VI). Even tanned and dark skin patients can be treated with confidence.
- Laser eliminates hair from all parts of the body large or small. This includes areas like upper lip, chin, under the arms, bikini line, face, arms, chest, back, abdomen, legs and pubic areas. Laser Hair removal is typically a very tolerable procedure.
Depending upon the area, laser hair removal can take a few minutes to over an hour. The most commonly treated areas, upper lip, chin, under arms, bikini line typically require about twenty minutes for treatment. After laser hair removal the treated site may feel like a mild sunburn for 24 hours or more.
Though every patient is different, in general lighter skinned patients will require four to six treatment, and darker skin treatments may require five to eight treatments, spaced approximately four to six weeks apart.
Though our center can not promise that each patient will achieve hundred percent result of permanent hair reduction however on an average most patients can expect to achieve seventy-five to ninety-five percent permanent reduction in the number of hairs following a full course of treatment and post care advice.
